Privacy and Confidentiality
The Office of Institutional Equity advances the University of Arizona’s shared values of inclusion and equity and leads efforts to uphold policies that prohibit discriminatory conduct and treatment in our community. Our responsibilities include ensuring an appropriate response to allegations of discrimination and harassment.
The University seeks to maintain and respect the privacy and confidentiality of information obtained to the extent feasible and attempts to investigate allegations of discrimination and harassment discreetly but can rarely assure confidentiality.
Permitted or required disclosures include those permitted by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and those required by University policy/processes or law.
